De naam Beecake komt eigenlijk van Dominic monoghan, die stuurde foto's naar Billy van zijn reis in Spanje.
Een van die foto's was een cake dat in een bakerij lag, bedekt met bijen. De mensen hier jagen de bijen weg en eten het cakeje gewoon op, zei hij. op de foto had hij bijgeschreven 'Beecake.'
